To avoid the rally in CWB, we decided to come for shopping in Taikooshing. We have not tried this place in Taikooshing, so we gave it a try. I am always a fan of 小籠包, so I will try most小籠包 of Shanghainese restaurant. Besides 小籠包, we also ordered擔擔麵, 素菜包 and also a 紅油抄手.The擔擔麵 came in a large bowl and it was very nice. The peanut sauce went well with it and the texture of the noodles was chewy enough. It was not the best 擔擔麵 that we had, but surely was not a bad one. Can try again.素菜包 was h

素菜包 was hotly served in a steam basket. The bun was nice and soft and the minced vegetable inside it was quite nice, but frankly a bit oily, it would be better if it was less oily.
紅油抄手 came with 6 little pieces in a dish. They were not bad but not as good as Jade’s. The skin of the wontons was not thin enough (if not tried Jade’s, then still acceptable) and also the filling inside was rather dry and tough. The sauce was not spicy enough.
小籠包 came with 4 pieces in a steam basket. You could clearly see the soup hanging inside the skin. The soup was clear and nice. The favour further enhanced when brown vinegar and ginger strips was added. The filling was not oily. All in all, the 小籠包 was very nice and we shall come again for this.
