I've had Pepper Lunch many times before, including Pepper Lunch in Japan. The original outlets in Japan are of course much better, but the HK ones are ok for a quick meal - exactly what I wanted before my evening classes. The food comes out HOT and you pour your own sauces on the rice - as much and as many types as you want. A black pepper shaker was also available and it was very popular amongst all of the customers.
Service was NOT good - most if not all of the servers looked like part-time students who kept "barking" at the customers and asked them to "Choose your Sauce".....
A "Copycat" hot plate pork rice shop was located next door but most of the customers only ate at this original Japanese shop.
