早前在明報D版看見star's taste 的介紹, 想試了很久, 就是沒時間,亦沒閒情過來這裏. 今天在附近清湯牛肉吃完午飯 - 良機!出了佐敦MTR C2 出口,向前走, 然後拐左.再走兩步,差不多到了九龍公園, 就看見這家餅點. 門面很神秘, 黑黑的,沒有光. 玻璃門. 走進去,兩個大display shelves, 店身窄窄, 沒有很多蠕動空間. 餅:有很多variety, 每件蛋糕都很漂亮, 很想吃, 食指大動. 可惜剛剛吃完午飯, 要控制自己! >< 每件大概$30, 不算貴. 三重奏: lemon cheesecake + tiramisu + death by chocolate cake $30 好聰明的做法! 這個組合最適合想試試味的女孩子. 我們當然要啦. 每款都不需吃太多 lemon cheesecake 檸檬和芝士味平衡, 不太酸, 也不漏. 唯一可改善的地方就是餅底的黏度. 小妹認為餅底太黏, 好像用了很多牛油...感覺不好.痴牙. perhaps baking the crust will be better. lemon cheesecake 檸檬和芝士味平衡, 不太酸, 也不漏. 唯一可改善的地方就是餅底的黏度. 小妹認為餅底太黏, 好像用了很多牛油...感覺不好.痴牙. perhaps baking the crust will be better. And not just stick it in the fridge. usually baked cheesecakes have better bases, I think.
Tiramisu比起我吃過的其他tiramisu 精細, 有點酒味, 但我喜歡酒味再濃一點. 我不喜歡乾乾的lady fingers, I like them completely soaked in kahlua, moist, and spongy. But at least you could taste mascarpone cheese, not just heavy cream. I'm suspecting that some cheap restaurants just give you frozen cream of some sort to cut on costs.
death by chocolate cake is the name I ascribed to this deliciously rich, authentic, divine chocolatey creation. 1/3 for 3 people is extremely sufficient. If we'd gotten a whole piece we would have died. It is the most wholesome, smooth, solid, authentic chocolate cake I've had. Well, not the most, but one of the most. I think it's better than Awfully Chocolate's chocolate cakes, coz those are too spongy. REAL chocolate cakes should just really be a rich chocolate ganache, perhaps with some texture to it, like the crunchy flakes, and perhaps a BIT of chiffon/sponge on the bottom, but just a very very thin layer. Or maybe something gooey.

A chocolate mousse filling, not too rich. This cake had different textures - that is, the crunch at the bottom, and a bit of sponge. The white stuff in the middle I'm not sure what it is actually.
Green tea mousse cake: this one was rather disappointing. There really isn't much to say: a very, very weak Green Tea taste (i'd rather eat green tea candy) , a flimsy sponge base layer, which were clearly separable. The cake wasn't an single cohesive unity. They need not be eaten together. you could separate the layers. Didn't make much sense to me. Could seriously improve on this one - or were my expectations too high...?

oh no I subconsciously switched to english in the middle of this review...hmm but I can't be bothered to translate it back into cantonese. Sorry all!
Would want to come again to try its other cakes!
