I like Italian food and I know this restaurant for a long time but just never got a chance to try.Today I was having a dinner with my friend from Scotland, I decided to give this a try. Today I was having a dinner with my friend from Scotland, I decided to give this a try. I picked this to avoid mediocre Italian restaurant like Jamie’s Oliver with terrible experience (see my other reviews).
The deco was simple and casual. We ordered some wine first as it was happy hour. Surprisingly, the pouring house wine, both red and white, were damn good!
We ordered a meat and cheese plank, beef carpaccio, pizza, lasagne, crispy pork.
The meat plank and beef carpaccio were so-so, but was okay to go with wine as an appetiser. We thought the cheese for the plank were big pieces, it ended up with only small dices.
The pizza exceeded our expectation, it was paper thin and freshly hot and crispy. The truffle taste and the melting cheese were just delicious.
Lasagne is always my favourite. This one was quite fresh with tomato flavour and less with cheese and meat so I guess was also good for ladies.
The crispy pork was good but just if a bit small if considered as a main dish.
Since the portion is not huge and menu offering is not abundant, I think this place is good for gathering rather than a feast.
