I thought this joint was new but it used to the restaurant a couple blocks round the corner on Landale Street where I used to go for their scrambled eggs with Vietnamese Sausage.
The restaurant that used to be at this spot used to be Vietnamese Woods or something like that.
Anyway, the menu is bigger and better than before.

Started with the classic Vietnamese noodles and the broth was strong and rich so the noodles soaked it well.

The steamed pancakes were quite elastic with a slight oily surface filled with lots of chunky carrots, radish and minced meat with a strong black pepper taste.

The Banh Mi was a little disappointing because it was just different, there were no pickles but lots of julienne carrots, cucumbers and lettuce which was a bit strange.
The way it was toasted looked very Cantonese as well.

Last but not least was the bun hoi,  and that was my favourite.
It was new to me because I rarely eat Vietnamese food but it was almost similar to Sri Lankan hoppers but flavoured with crispy onions and tasty spring onions.

Finished with the salted lemon drink which was strangely sweetened.
Anyway, despite some hits and misses, I am they are back in Wanchai.
