For this year’s Father’s Day, we came to this pretty iconic restaurant in wan chai to try out some traditional Cantonese food. My dad is a big fan of the baked fish guts here, it might sound a little weird on paper but it’s really just an airy fluffy frittata with fish guts . This combo might be an extreme food to some but it is actually one of their most popular dishes. The other highlight here was the roasted duck, very juicy and the perfect crispy skin. 父親節我哋嚟咗益新食飯因為爸爸好鍾意食呢度嘅焗魚腸。焗魚腸未必個個接受到但其實佢只不過係將一啲魚腸同蛋一齊焗,焗完之後變得好鬆化幾好味嘅,但如果你怕少少腥味或者芫荽味咁可能就唔係好啱你啦。另外呢度必點嘅就係琵琶鴨,燒得唔錯,個皮好香脆而且好多肉汁。但係我哋叫咗嘅餸菜裏面我最鍾意嘅反而係魚香脆玉寶,即係一件炸咗嘅肉餅。原來將一件鹹魚肉餅加咗一層脆皮喺外面可以令到質感上多咗好多層次,加埋鹹魚香,真係非常之下飯。大時大節真係有特別多好嘢食,等我下次又搵啲特別日子嚟呢度再試埋第啲出名嘅餸啦。
