Went shopping in Times Square with hubby. Have not tried this restaurant with him for dinner, so went and tried the 鍾菜一人餐. This set menu was on special offer, for Mondays to Fridays, it was only $198 per person, whereas for weekends, it charged at $398 per person. The menu was rather sumptuous and it was like having western dinner, the dishes came one by one. I would prefer this way as we could consume the dishes while they were all hot. 古法雞湯魚翅. 古法雞湯魚翅. The soup was nice. I would always prefer clear soup base for shark fin rather than those sticky one. The shark fin was tenderly cooked and I also loved the 竹笙 that went with it. Nice soup.
蠔皇鮑魚扣遼參. The abalone was nicely braised. I particularly liked the sauce, not too sweet and not too salty. Just right with hints of abalone favour. The sea cucumber was nice and the sauce matched perfectly with it. It came with a dish, so we could consume it using knife and fork.
檸檬牛油汁魚塊配健康掛麵 This dish surprised me. I originally thought it was a rather small piece of fillet on some noodle. However it was not. It was a rather large piece of fish fillet, crisply fried on some some noodle. It was exceptionally good. The fillet was fried perfectly and very crisply with a light hint of lemon butter sauce. Very yummy and filling.
無骨口水雞 This dish was a hot and spicy dish, as far as I remember, this was a famour sichuen dish. The sauce was spicy and tasted great, the boneless chicken was not bad, but of course, it was not fresh chicken, should not expect that so. However, the dish was nice and hope that one more piece could be given than the 3 little pieces that we got.
龍蝦湯鮮菌菜苗 I also particularly liked this dish. The lobster soup base went well with the greens and mushrooms. A very refreshing dish indeed.
楊枝金露 There were two choices of almond tea or楊枝金露. Both of us chose楊枝金露. It came in a cold glass. Very rich and full of mango. We both loved it very much.
紅酒/果汁一杯 Both of us chose red wine. It was Australian wine and we found it quite fruity and nice. Matching the dishes well.
Generally speaking, the dinner was quite good. The place was cozy and spacious and it was not noisy or crowded (despite the fact that it was full). This was a good place for gathering too!
