Have always been a fan of this place. I agree that they don't have a creative menu as many new dessert places do nowadays, but I come here every so often for their savoury snacks and fruity desserts and enjoy it everytime! My friends and I ordered the savoury snacks to share: the 雞翼尖, $12 were excellent as always - spicy, garlicy, soft and hot! My favourite dish from this place! Their 魚蛋, $6 however, didn't taste as good as they used to. I think it became powdery and less tasty. Maybe they weren'
In terms of their desserts, I feel that you have to know what to order. I am personally not a big fan of their desserts as I feel that there is nothing special. Moreover, their desserts are served in big portions which overflow in the bowl and spill onto the plate, making the spoon dirty. It doesn't look very appealing and clean, so I usually order drinks, On a more positive note, they do give a lot of fresh fruits in their desserts and their slushies/juices taste VERY fruity, thick with real fruits!
I ordered the 西瓜冰, $2x - yummy! It was very cooling, perfect for the hot day. It was flavourful, not watered down like many places tend to do. There were chunks of watermelon balls also, yummm! My friends who ordered mango desserts were actually also very impressed. They liked how intensely mango-ey it tasted, very real and natural. They put a lot of ice in it to make it very cold and refreshing.
The restaurant itself is not very spacious - many small round tables tightly packed next to each other. Not very comfortable, but that's HK (especially Yuen Long) style, I guess! I don't really mind that because I take it as part of the culture and actually feel that food could possibly even taste better that way! Just a personally opinion. Service was efficient as it should be. Nothing to complain about apart from their fishballs and hygiene problem! Likes: 雞翼尖 and Mango and Watermelon Desserts
Dislikes: 魚蛋
Come Again? YES! Very soon as it is only 10 minutes drive from mine and you can sort of park outside
