Good yakiniku here, too bad they only allow you to dine for 1.5 hours during peak times, which is a bit rush when you want to include some serious drinking into your dinner. onions, i thought they are supposed to be grilled, but came with an aluminum foil tub with a dab of garlic herb butter, however the butter was not sufficient for all of the onions so I was a bit confused, anyhow, I ended up stir frying them in the foil tub.
Raw beef salad, korean style, with raw egg, garlic and pear slices and sprinkle of sesame, not bad for $75, but Arirang does it better.
3 color tofu, tofu in soy sauce with chopped onion, tomatoes and pickled okra, this tasted strangely sour and I didn't enjoy it.
Salad leaves platter for wrapping your meat with, instead of the usual spicy bean sauce, they gave me thousand island and it didn't taste right, eventually I had to ask for the bean sauce. Quite stingy on the garlic slices too.
Chicken Liver in black pepper and 7 spice. Yes says "liver" on the menu, but in fact it was gizzard. Not bad when paired with the booze though.
Thick cut ox tongue., not bad, but the tongue wasn't fat enough and it sort of tasted bland. I probably opt for another plate of ribs next time round.
Clam and garlic broth, with seaweed, spring onion and daikon. At first it tasted quite salty with the juices of the clams flooding into the soup, but if you let it sit a bit longer, the saltiness becomes sweetness as the daikon and garlic slowly release their flavours.
Clams are nice and juicy, look how plump this one is!
Overall the experience was as expected, not bad to quite good, but better to come for late night snacks as they have huge discounts, and you don't have to rush to finish your meal inside 1.5 hours That's why I gave a 2 for their service, not because the service was bad, in fact it was fast and friendly, but because of the management's decision to limit your dining time.
