Somehow I think I lost track on food pricing. Today I passed by Sawdust Dessert, although having my diet, I could not resist the idea of indulging myself into my beloved sawdust pudding. I went to check the menu out and was actually quite surprised to see it was priced at $25. I was not sure whether this was a good bargain. Anyhow my sweet tooth had succeeded in persuading me to get the sawdust pudding.I had my sawdust pudding took away and had it at home. My home wasn't really far away from Cau
I had my sawdust pudding took away and had it at home. My home wasn't really far away from Causeway Bay, so the pudding was still in very nice condition when I tasted it.
The last time I had Sawdust Pudding was in Macau around a month ago, which the sawdust pudding there costed around $10-15, which might be the reason for my overly priced feelings. I could still remember the texture was soft like ice-cream and dissolved lightly on your palate instantly.
I was expecting some similar texture here. When I first spooned in my pudding, I was surprised by how hard it was. I nearly broke my plastic spoon when attempting to get a bigger spoonful. Sawdust Desset's sawdust pudding had a more solid texture, thicker, less creamy than the Macau's one, but it also possessed the dissolved once landed on your palate attribute.
Overall, the pudding's taste was nice. However by judging the pudding size and comparing the price in Macau, I think its a bit over priced.
