The meal set covered butter and garlic chicken wings in french style (x4 pieces), An Nam Vietnamese Platter A, Fried vegetables in Belacan, Fried Cambodian noodle with seafood, Fried rice with Viet sausage and shrimp paste and red curry with beef brisket serving with toasted baguette. Meal set also included 4 drinks. So much food for 4 people and they were in massive portion😂😅
Butter garlic chicken wings was covered with deep fried garlic crumbs so as the whole chicken wings were coated with garlic batter. Crispy skin with moist chicken meat. Not bad just a bit oily.
Pickles were served on the side.
An Nama Vietnamese Platter included spring rolls, Vietnamese sausage, pork chips and rice rolls. Spring rolls were crunchy and stuffed with vegetables. Very savoury. Lettuce was served to eat in a wrap style. Vietnamese sausage was a bit oily and salty. Pork chips were alright. Crunchy chips loaded with vermicelli and deep fried pork chunks. Rice rolls were stuffed with vegetables and wrapping wasn't too thick. Drizzled with spring onion which gave an extra flavour.
Fried vegetables in Belacan was served in a clay pot. Sizzling and steamy. Better leaving it a bit before consuming. Vegetables were cooked just right and extremely flavourful but taste a bit salty when coming to the end soaking with sauce.
Fried Cambodian noodle with seafood was alright. Huge portion but not oily. Loaded with sprouts, fried egg, seafood and viet sausages. Too much that we had packed away instead. Nothing special.
Fried rice with Viet sausage and shrimp paste was flavourful. You could literally smell it when it's ready to serve from the kitchen. Portion size was just right. Right amount of shrimp paste taste that wasn't salty. Fried rice was dry but not oily. Loads of toppings. Pretty good!
Red curry with beef brisket was came with toasted baguette. Red curry was pretty runny but full of flavour. Perfect to dip with bread. Baguette was pretty airy and crunchy. Baguette was still crunchy even absorbed curry. Yummy! Beef brisket was soft, incredibly soft and tender. Well coated the curry. Whole combo was perfect!
With such amount of food and variety, we all 6 people were full and satisfying. And the whole meal costs hkd518 which was worth. It was a pretty good experience.
