The store serves a weekend brunch which includes unlimited appetizers and desserts with 1 main course of $398. You can add unlimited drinks for $100 so the total is $498 usually. In view it was Christmas, the price of the brunch was $598 which includes the unlimited drink package already(so just a slight $100 mark up which is very reasonable AND you get a complimentary pack of gingerbread cookies)The decor was quite regal like a palace. For this Christmas brunch, we also got a pack of Gingerbread
The decor was quite regal like a palace.
For this Christmas brunch, we also got a pack of Gingerbread cookies as a gift. The soup and the appetizers were unlimited. The servers stated to tell them when we have finished before they prepare the main course. It was a cold day so I went for the soup and I was surprised by the amount of lobster inside the rich lobster bisque. It was so good that I had to have seconds but the I regretted it as I became quite full by dessert time.
The salad was fresh and the toppings were generous. The seafood especially the crabs were my favorite with so much crab roe inside. Again my regret was eating too much leaving too full during dessert time.
We ordered our main which I had the lobster risotto. The risotto was al dente and there were plenty of pumpkin inside as well. The lobster was springy and seasoned just right. My friend's pork rack was also cooked beautifully. By then, we had the difficult option to choose what dessert we want as it was unlimited. You can choose from all the below. AND you can choose gelato/sorbet.
We chose 2 semifreddi(ice cream cake) as it was not that common. The mixture of the gelato and cake was perfect. Both Al Torroncino and Meringata were heavenly. We also chose the Lady Rosa and Mediterranea. Despite my love for berry flavors, I fell in love with the pistachio cherry pie. Later I learned their signature ice-cream was also pistachio.
The mini tarts also acted as the petit four. Despite they were mini, their flavors weren't. The raspberry tart was refreshing while the Cannoncini was rich and buttery.
By now, I was suffering from a sugar coma(and maybe a bit tipsy from the free flow sparkling and white wine) and their coffee came. I am glad I ordered black. The caffeine kick was quite strong and I decided to try at least 1 scoop of their sorbert/icecream.
Despite pistachio is their signature, I was too full and had to have something less rich and more tarty. The strawberry sorbet was perfect. I had 1 spoon of my friend's pistachio gelato and I totally know why it was the signature. It was so rich it was almost like having pistachio mixed with cream.
Even if you told me $598 is the regular price, I would this is a bargain. Definitely marked as somewhere to comeback soon.
