It has been quite awhile since i brought my girlfriend for fine dining as both of us were quite busy with work. My colleagues recommend this bar & restaurant to me as he told me that this place was suitable to enjoy our dinner with a cosy environment. Spark restuarant was located along the uphill slope of Lan Kwai Fong. It has been a long time since i stepped into this area as i don't really come to this district often. It was located on the 4th floor, thus for customers who are seated near the window, they will be able to enjoy the view outside.
The space was quite spacious, able to seat around 100 people and near the entrance, there is a small stage for band members to play some music. I heard that it does not play band every night and it really depends on luck. As for their menu, they serve mainly oyster/seafood, snacks/appetizers, salads, soups, sandwiches, main course, risotto/pasta, pizza, dessert & drinks. They did offer quite a wide range of food and price was slightly on the high side due to the location. For a start, i ordered C Allstar which is a mocktail drink. It was done using star fruit and lemon juice. It was very refreshing and nice. It was slightly sweet and sour, mixing the drink quite well. Buffalo wings - When it was served, it was pipping hot as i could still see the smoke coming out. For the price, it was quite reasonable as it comes with 6 pieces and each was quite huge. It was marinated with sweet sauce and the chicken has fully absorbed the sauce in it. The only comment i could make is it was not spicy enough as i am one who can take spiciness. Nonetheless, it was juicy. Hawaiian pizza - For the price, i will expect more. The edges of the pizza was crispy as it was more than biscuit type dough. It was full of ingredients and the portion was slightly smaller. Overall, it would consider it as a decent attempt. Chocolate lava cake - Most of the desserts store serve chocolate lava cake with ice cream, so i was surprised that there was no ice cream served. Thankfully, the lava cake did not disappoint me. Once i cut open the cake, those molten chocolate lava kept flowing out. The cake was baked till crispy on the outside and the lava was very thick with choco. it was one of the better lava cakes i have tasted.
