味房居食屋brings you to a journey of great Japanese taste at one of the most Hotel Chain in Shatin. Diners would able to enjoy a wide range of food from Sashimi, Sushi, Teppanyaki and many more. But when ever 味房 is doing promotion, the restaurant is full of diners and diners have to wait forever before they can eat.Cuisine: JapaneseFood rating: 3/10*Service: 0/10 Ambiance: 4/10Price: HK$250ax* Food Rating: 6/10 is equivalent to 1 Michelin star, 8/10 to two Michelin stars, and 9/10 or 10/1

Salad (1/10)
The salad was a little bit too fresh; the cherry tomato was extremely fresh and sour. More importantly, there weren’t any dressings. Miso Soup (2/10)
The Miso soup was light, not the MSG a like one. The broth was nicely done and the veg gave the soup some texture. Drinkable. Sashimi (2/10)
The Sashimi were like the parking-shop standard, definitely eat able. But one thing that I don’t understand is why you served on ice, where the ice melts as we were eating. Seafood (3/10)
The Scallop was grilled okay, but it was suppose to be grilled with butter, I wonder why it was covered with the same gravy. The fish was lightly seasoned, slightly overcooked. The oysters were those frozen one, but yet it was still creamy inside. Meat (3/10)
The lamb chop was stunning, cooked to medium, nicely seasoned. However, it lacked the lamb taste. The rib-eye was cooked to medium, quite juicy, but the steak wasn’t the tender ones. The pork was full of flavour, seasoned well, in additional if the pork was serve in biteable size would be prefect. It seems like the chef loves his gravy so much, all the meat and seafood were served with the same gravy. This is ridiculous, it would be much preferable if it was cooked individually and serve individually.
Give me a thumbs up if you like it!
