After work I wanted a little cake break. I noticed there was some room at Missing Link so decided to give it a try. A while ago, it was quite busy but I guess the crowds have moved on to another new cafe nearby. Located in Causeway Bay, this one street once housed many bars. Now it seems a few coffee shops have popped up. The cafe isn't very big but it's nicely decorated with a few tables and a barista table.Menu is in English only. There is no 10% service charge. They offer a variety of drinks,
Menu is in English only. There is no 10% service charge. They offer a variety of drinks, hot meals and dessert. You orer and pay at the cashier and will bring the food to you when ready.
I ordered a Latte ($45). Very pretty latte art. The coffee was ok. Not too aromatic but at least went down well. Temperature was right and the amount of milk to espresso was good.
I also had a Strawberry Matcha Roll Cake ($60). The cake was pretty but it the roll wasn't tight enough so there was a gap between the cream and the fruit. The cake was moist but a bit too spongy. the cream was lovely though. A rich matcha taste that was creamy in texture.
The food was ok. Not great but at least not too bad. Service was friendly but they seemed to only have one staff working so there was a bit of a wait for everything as she did everything herself. It's nice enough only if there is no queue.
