This is a small ramen shop selling authentic ramen. Place to go to if you want some good Japanese noodles in North NT.EnvironmentOutside is a typical Ramen shop set up you would expect in Japan. A kitchen with chefs cooking inside and a long bar table outside facing it. However, this restaurant also has an upstairs seating area that can sit 10-20 additional people. It’s nothing spectacular upstairs, just an average seating area but close to where they store their stock and toilet area.ServiceMin

Service
Minimal service. You get your order taken outside and once paid for, you take your receipt upstairs and wait for the waiter/waitress to take your food to you. The waiters can sometimes get orders mixed up or orders lost (Table next to us received the wrong order and had to chase several times)
Food
For starters, I ordered the Takoyaki Octopus balls and for main, I ordered the DX ramen in black garlic soup.
The Takoyaki balls came as a portion of 6. The presentation was delightful and they were full of flavour. The Takoyaki sauce was not too strong and it was well balanced with the mayonnaise on top. Only disappointment was they were lukewarm; may have been sitting in the kitchen for too long.
The ramen, one of my favourite dishes, did not disappoint here. Starting with the soup, although not one of the most flavourful and strongest I’ve had, was definitely enough to satisfy my taste buds. The black garlic provided that extra edge to the soup without overpowering the base soup. The noodles were perfectly cooked, not too soft with the right amount of chew and bounce. Portion size was also plentiful. Ramen also came with 2 eggs, which was very slightly overcooked as not all the yolk was runny but still delicious. The char sui was one of the best surprises. Once I put them in my mouth, they instantly melted. Definitely worth coming back again just for that.
Overall, a very mixed experience. Very good food but environment and service can definitely be improved. If you want to have quick tasty ramen and you live nearby without wanting to travel too far, this is the place to go to.
