I'm often wary of celebrity owned restaurants. Not a lot of them are any good and some just lend their celebrity status to someone who then makes a mess of things. I'm not saying all are bad. There are few that I did like (like Homie Cookies I really loved but sadly all closed) but majority are pretty terrible (Baby Cafe, anyone?). But I do give them a try. I mean ... why not? Everyone has a dream to own their own restaurant. Don't they?不要對我尖叫,日常茶間 (Space Between Daily Tea Time By Don't Yell At
不要對我尖叫,日常茶間 (Space Between Daily Tea Time By Don't Yell At Me) is started by Taiwanese celebrity Yako Chan (詹子晴). With one shop in Central, it's located near the Midlevel Escalators. As there was no one waiting in line, I went to give it a try.
Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge as it is geared for take away. Staff is very friendly and offered a some advice when I was still thinking what to order.
I ordered the lychee and grapefruit flavored fruit tea ($24). The staff informed me that the level of sweetness is set at 50% sweet as they use honey as a sweetener. I suddenly feel healthy! This was quite good. Slices of apple were found in it. It didn't taste like lychee laced syrup! Slightly sweet but not too much. The base of the tea was fragrant and I could still taste a fruit base as well.
For this price, it's definitely not expensive! In a market where a cup of bubble tea is around $40, this is not expensive at all. I didn't see the popping juice bubbles as an add on until after I left, so I'll be back again to give that a try.
