There is a new restaurant in Wong Tai Sin area and I met boyfriend in his neighbourhood to see what it was all about. Cityfresh Bistro it said. Near the front, they sell various baked goods. But inside the restaurant was busy. Seats were spaciously set so there was no crowding or table sharing.Menu is in English and Chinese. They offer various sets that come with a drink. Menu is in English and Chinese. They offer various sets that come with a drink. There is no 10% serrvice charge and you pay on your way out.
However, the afternoon tea set meal is in Chinese only. There is no English available. Prices here were also cheaper and sets come with a drink.
I had the club sandwich ($50). This was fine. The bread was toasted well. There was thick slice of spam along with crispy lettuce, a juicy tomato and cheese. There was egg and what appeared to be a small smear of corned beef.
Boyfriend had the satay croissant sandwich ($45). This wasnt very good. The beef was so soft, you didn't even need to chew. It didn't have a lot of satay flavor even though t was packed with sauce. The croissant was soft and chewy. There was a couple of cherry tomtoes drizzled with a balsamic glaze.
Food was ok. Though boyfriend wasn't impressed at all. Service was a bit scattered as it was very busy. I guess they are still working on running things smoothly. Unsure if I'd be back but if I'm with boyfriend, from his look, I guess we won't.
