The strawberry cream cake was nice both in taste and aroma. There was some strawberry flesh inside the strawberry flavour cream to amplify strawberry features both in taste and scent. Together with the smooth and soft texture of the layer cake delivered more enjoyable journey. If typical strawberry flavour is your thing, then this cake is your thing.

The walnut coffee cream cake consisted of four layers and each separated by a layer of coffee flavour sponge cake and buttercream of coffee note. The portion of buttercream was generous. However, its texture was between buttery and creamy, resulting a bit greasy rather than silky smooth and the flavour was nothing special. So, it may be the thing for buttercream person but obvious not me. B.T.W., I could not trace any walnut ingredient or a hint of walnut flavour!

When I saw that there was green tea Tiramisu, I was a bit curious about the taste of green tea tiramisu would be. This so-called Green tea Tiramisu is greatly different from the original receipt of Tiramisu which is a popular coffee flavour Italian dessert. It is made of ladyfingers soaked in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of mascarpone cheese, eggs plus sugar, and dusted the cocoa powder on top. It is evolved to many versions with times go on.

The Green Tea Tiramisu consisted of quite a number of layers. Green tea powder was dusted over the mascarpone cheese. Beneath this layer were green tea flavour sponge cake, mascarpone cheese, a thin layer of moist coffee flavoure ladyfingers (something like ladyfingers ), mascarpone cheese again and green tea flavour sponge cake as the base.

As a result of multi-layers of Tiramisu , I could hardly enjoy the smoothness of mascarpone cheese as it was separated by other stuffs of different texture and not to mention the thinness layer of mascarpone cheese. Moreover, both the notes of mascarpone cheese and green tea were not rich and the flavour of coffee was so weak that hardly tasted its existence except savored this layer only. I would prefer this cake to be less pretentiously presented, that is, combining the two thin layers of mascarpone cheese into one layer so that mascarpone cheese’s texture and flavour would be less weak. In brief, take this cake as a regular cake, the standard is promising. But it was second-rate when take this cake as Tiramisu as the feature of mascarpone cheese was not too weak.
