The words devine, delectable and desiring cannot even begin to describe my experience at the restaurant Spices. Spices is a contemporary eastern designed restaurant offering four different cuisines such as Indian, Thai, Malaysian and Indonesian. The restaurant gives both indoor and outdoor seating as well as a spacious garden, which is very rare in such a city as Hong Kong. The menu had a very wide range as well offering enticing appetizers and unique deserts. The menu had a very wide range as well offering enticing appetizers and unique deserts. The first foods that came were the large caramel brown spring rolls and the steaming bowls of rice. The spring rolls were abnormally crunchy and the vegetable filling was just abundantly buttery. Next came the beef sticks and the crab cakes. The crab cakes had been elegantly decorated with a bounteous amount of colors and tasted even better, giving off a fresh lemony sensation and not at all too fishy. Although, the beef sticks looked very plain they were in fact remarkably juicy and the sauce was like a hundred flavors in harmony.
For dessert I had decided to order a scoop of cinnamon ice cream, and a scoop of mango sorbet. The cinnamon ice cream had quite a unique taste but was not at all to strong, it had a perfect amount of cream as well. The mango sorbet was very tropical, as if you were actually there in the jungles right now. All in all it was a wonderful experience and the foods were all to me. I recommend the place highly and was deeply satisfied.
