When I mentioned Sammi Cafe in Tsuen Wan and wanted to find it as it was all black and apparently very chic. Boyfriend said he knew where it was and we came to Cafe Sammi. Apparently the other Sammi Cafe had an original branch that was more like a restaurant than a coffee shop.Inside was filled with all sorts of toys. Or at least the collectible toys that boyfriend loves and I always find why so ugly?? He thought they were fantastic!Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge.

Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. They offer a lunch menu along with a tea set menu. All include a very large drink choice with possible upgrades.
Boyfriend ordered a lunch set. This included a daily soup and bread. The soup was a minestrone soup. It was ok with a strong tomato taste. The bread was a tiny roll that was rock hard.
Boyfriend had the Rib Eye Steak ($70). It was a big portion but the steak was very thin. It came with potato wedges and some cabbage underneath. The gravy didn't have much flavor. Everything was a bit bland. The vegetables weren't even seasoned.
I ordered the Smoked Salmon Croissant ($45) from the tea set menu. It looked nice. The salad had a drizzle of balsamic glaze. The croissant was a bit oily but at least crispy. There was a one thin slice of smoked salmon, lettuce, processed cheese and tomato. It was ok but not great. It needed a spread of some sort.
Food was mediocre. Even our tea didn't have much flavor. It was popular but I doubt we'd be back.
