Went to Applegreen with my girlfriends a few weeks ago after reading all the positive reviews on here. We ordered 4 salads, 3 pastas, fries, and 6 desserts. The salads and pastas were pretty good. I guess tossing veggies with different dressings doesnt require much skills. But I was glad all the veggies were fresh and crisp. The carbonara sauce was fantastic! The clam sauce pasta was a bit bitter and too salty, the meat sauce pasta was okay... something you can easily make at home with instant p

Cajun fries was really tasty. Even more awesome with a cold beer!!
I was really looking forward to checking out all the desserts since everyone raved about it on here.
Apple crisps was really good cuz it was hot enough and blended well with ice cream. (It was good without the ice cream too!)
Cheesecake was a disappointment, not cheesey enough, not enough sauce.
The grilled fruits was just ridiculous! I think they USED THE SAME GRILL FOR STEAK & FRUITS. The pineapple / pear / melon ALL had a meaty taste. It was DISGUSTING and I don't recommend anybody ordering it unless you like MEAT-FLAVORED FRUITS.
(I want my money back on that.)
Creme brulee was another disappointment. It was HUGE, which is good for sharing. But I wouldnt dare to order it if I ever come here with less than 3 people. It tasted too eggy, not enough vanilla, the only thing that was right about it was the crispy caramel top.
I dont remember the other 2 desserts, but they werent particularly delicious or disgusting, or else I would have remembered what they were.
Overall, I dont think my friends and I will be going to Applegreen again any time soon. The food are completely overrated. The service was great though, all the staff were very polite and friendly.
Last thing... they only had ONE stall for the womens washroom, so everyone would have to wait... the waitress would actually tell you to wait at your table (instead of lining up outside the door) and she would let you know when the washroom is available... quite funny.
