Surprisingly super affordable restaurant at Landmark. Ambience was good and comfortable. Seating was spacious too. The menu contained surprises where it featured atypical, non-traditional Chinese/Japanese dishes. We loved the chicken xlb as the soup was generous and very fragrant. Pleasant surprise as I've tried chicken xlb before and it would seldom match up to pork xlb. (But I'd like to cut down on red meat so chicken xlb is my saviour!) I'd say this is a safe dish to order. What's particularl

I'd say this is a safe dish to order. What's particularly thoughtful about it, it's not about the amount of garlic but rather the use of Sichuan pepper, giving the dish the spicy, numbing taste.
The tempura batter was good. At other places, the batter had no taste so you could tell there's effort here. But the vegetable portion was pretty normal.
Really appreciate that the restaurant tried to create surprises in its dishes. The pork cutlet was also different from most other places. It has a varied textured as it was not wholly made up of one pork meat chunk. Instead it was layered by pork slices with fats oozing in-between. If one prefer a non spicy dish, one could order the layered pork cutlet with rice. I do find the taste of the dan dan noodle soup base to be just decent.

Strawberry highball was very refreshing. Quite like the strawberry taste which lent the nice aroma to the drink. Also it's not sweet which would be a major concern in most cocktails.
