It is a weekday afternoon. I had an enjoyable al fresco lunch with my wife at the outdoor area of this small Indian restaurant.

The set lunch menu doesn't look very good though the set lunch is cheap. As such, I went for the a la carte items. Chicken curry masala is almost a compulsory food item whenever I visit Indian restaurants. Samosa is another favourite item. The tandoori lamb looks very nice as well. Coupled with the Indian rice, garlic nan bread and the classic masala milk tea and the special rose milk, this Indian lunch sounds quite attractive indeed.

The complimentary papadum is crunchy and crispy. The peppermint sauce is excellent.

There is some room for improvement in the chicken curry masala. There is no room for mistakes on such a signature dish in authentic Indian restaurants.

The samosas are just right. It is interesting to note that some restaurants owners in town who claim themselves as running an authentic Indian restaurant still fail to make samosas properly. The samosas here are just right. Nothing uneventful took place.

The tandoori lamb is worth trying again. It is reserved for those who prefer very spicy flavours.

The remaining items are qualified for a typical Indian restaurant such as this. There is no complaint on the quality of those food items indeed.

The pairing of a fine Cuban Petit Montecristo with a sip of hot masala tea after an Indian curry lunch creates fond memories over a lazy Friday lunch. The only disappointment is the appearance of unprofessional bicycle riders outside the restaurant along the cycling path. Their existence has disrupted the tranquility in the surroundings.

Parking is convenient at the hourly meter parking spaces at Tai Mei Tuk. I prefer not to park outside the restaurant behind the dirty and worn Japanese motors owned by the rude rural villagers nearby. At the end of the day, I parked at one of the public meter parking spaces and contributed HK$16 to the HKSAR treasury on parking.
