An absolutely memorable Sri Lankan meal to complete a wonderful day out in Sai Kung!The food was very authentic in taste. I ordered the half appetizer sample plate which consisted of a fish cutlet, samosa, Sri Lankan style 'spring roll' and a vade. This was enjoyable to share, especially with a lovely, fresh mint dipping sauce and the fish cutlet and samosa were my favourite! The chicken curry was moist and extremely flavoursome, with just a hint of spice (they ask how spicy you would like it).

The chicken curry was moist and extremely flavoursome, with just a hint of spice (they ask how spicy you would like it). Daal curry is one of my favourite dishes and again, I felt there were lots of different flavours that came through when trying it. I particularly liked the consistency (not too runny or too stodgy) and the touch of coriander. We ordered string hoppers for something different from rice or roti and they did not disappoint, perfect texture and you get 10 per order which, between two was perfectly ample.
Overall, it was refreshing to have such a warm welcome and friendly service. Timings between the appetizer and the mains was perfect, we were not rushed, nobody was lingering in the background and it was quite nice to arrive after the lunchtime rush, especially on a weekend! The feel of the restaurant was cosy, crisp and clean and full of personal touches as seen in photos on the walls and of course, the Sri Lankan flag behind the bar!
Finally, the touch of a well chilled Lion lager made it one of the best meals I've enjoyed in Hong Kong so far!
