my family used to visit LEE FA YUEN in sheung wan before it moved upstairs, changed its staff and chef and degraded in quality. as a result, we need to find somewhere else for our regular korean lunch/dinner-we need something authentic-and Kaya is able to give us what we want.time time, we ordered-cold noodles in soup (it was really hot outside-a shocking 34!)kimchi pancakeraw beefmiso soupthey were all very nice...starting with the kimchi plates, i like the delicacy of it with everything so nea

they were all very nice...starting with the kimchi plates, i like the delicacy of it with everything so neat and tidy on the small plates, haha.
the kimchi pancake was also good, it has an appropriate thickness and thus theres no mushy texture but fine crispness
as for the raw beef...i remember coming across a really nice raw beef mix when i was in tokyo this april. i guess the secret behind is the high quality of the beef. back in hong kong,i had a hard time searching for a substitute-until i got to try kaya's interpretation on this typical korean dish. the beef is certainly fresh, and sweet, and the pears good as well.
the cold noodles-i like how the soup bases seasoned. a light sourness with minimal human intervention ie. it tasted naturally refreshing. you dont even have to add much vinegar. the fine noodles very authentic. good.
as for the miso soup-also very authentic. my dad liked it and my mum said it wasnt too spicy. good.
all in all, this is an authentic and fine korean restaurant worth paying a visit to. plus its high accessibility-its right opposite to times square-im sure theres no reason to skip this restaurant while youre in causeway bay.
