Being a person who enjoys curry and makes curry fairly regularly I had high expectations from my meal at Tiger Curry. I have nothing negative to say about the service, which was prompt and friendly. Things that faired alright were the Japanese salad with the sesame dressing, the curry fries and the black sesame ice cream. For my main , I ordered the grilled chicken curry. First of all, the waitress seemed to have given an incorrect order as we were first presented with pork cutlet curries (which I now wish I had ordered instead) and it seemed like the quality of the grilled chicken dish was compromised in an attempt to serve us swiftly. Right off the bat, my main looked unappetizing as the chicken chunks smothered with curry. Any hope of a crispy skin dwindled because any amount of crispiness was now lost thanks to the generous serving of the sauce dished out.
Another thing that disappointed me was the inconsistency of the cooking of the chicken, one of my chunks was very pink when I cut into it. Noticing the grilled chicken dishes on couple other tables around me it was easy to spot the incosistencies be it in plating or cooking.
In conclusion, the curry itself tasted good, the appetizers seemed like a fun fusion of flavours, but very let down with the cooking of the chicken and would really suggest to plate it in a way that doesnt cause the meat to swim in the sauce.
