is a funky little bar/restaurant in a slightly unusual place, just off the highway across from Ho Man Tin station. I wasn't too hungry, so my partner and I split a dinner set, and I
ordered fish and chips from the 'snack' menu - it's a good job we didn't
order more, since that was plenty for 2. The smoked salmon salad was a
good size, with plenty of dressing, crunchy veg, and tasty fish, while
the spinach soup was also well-flavoured - although it was a little too
smooth, could have done with some more texture. The fish and chips was
surprisingly big, with flaky fish, nicely breaded, and slightly chunky
chips - and plentiful portions of both tartar sauce and ketchup, which
is always a good sign. Lobster and meat was great and meaty, but the sauce was abit salty.
We shared a lava cake for dessert, which was very well presented, with rich
chocolate and a strong rum and raisin ice cream, a nice change from the
usual vanilla!
Although I only had a lemon tea,
there were some interesting drinks available, and I think I'd try the
honey beer if we go again.
