You could choose a red bean drink as the set drink for no extra charge. Rare in this day and age. It was pretty good. The beans were soft. They used coconut milk as well to make it more fragrant. The only thing was they gave a thin straw so you couldn't suck up any of the beans, making it virtually useless. Thankfully there was a spoon to scoop it up.
The lunch sets come with a choice of borscht or cream soup. Boyfriend had the borscht soup. It was not that great and seemed to have way too much lemon added to it as it was sour.
I had the cream soup and it was basically white cream with some corn niblets.
I ordered the baked pork chop rice ($45). It was definitely not what I expected. Everything seemed to be placed on one big plate. The rice was mushy and soft. It was so disgusting, I could eat it. The pork chop was just covered in a thick tomato sauce. The pork chop was mostly fat.
Boyfriend had a fried noodle with cubed beef ($48). It arrived on a sizzling hot plate and was shockingly huge. The beef was really moist and tender but it had a slight taste of baking soda. The fried noodle was very crispy.
Portions are huge and prices are definitely not expensive. But it really didn't taste very good so will not be back.
