It has been a while since I met up with buddy G, so when she suggested this newly opened vietnamese restaurant, I was all game. Environment & Hygiene:The size of the restaurant was bigger than what I had in mind. The restaurant was modern looking with a sense of simplicity. It worked for me. Environment & Hygiene:The size of the restaurant was bigger than what I had in mind. The restaurant was modern looking with a sense of simplicity. It worked for me. Colourful plates and different sauces are placed on the table for you to use. Hygiene was okay.
Service:The staff were mainly attentive. Although it took them a while to fill up my water glass, it was understandable because we were sitting by the wall, and the table next to us was not smart enough to move their chairs forward a little just so the servers could reach us. At last, the server had to ask them to move a little.
Taste & Value:
What we got:
1. Beef Bun Before the appetizers, my noodles had come. Ha. The presentation was not too attractive I have to admit. This was different from ones I have had before because it had pineapples infused in it, making it quite wet without even adding the sauce. Despite the ugly appearance and tough beef, this dish had nice flavours and was quite good . I would recommend a non beef option.
2. Softshell Crab Paper Rolls I was really looking forward to this dish. The softshell crab was flavourless and didn't taste too fresh. It was a disappointing dish.
3. Squid Cakes After having the softshell crab appetizer, I had no hope for this appetizer, but it proved me wrong because it tasted amazing. I could taste the freshness of the ingredients and oriental spices.
4. Beef Pho This was my friend's choice. The soup was very good. It was fresh, flavourful in a natural way. The beef too was also good; it was way better than my beef.
Final Verdict:It is worth visiting. I would go again.
