Had dinner with boyfriend and his family and they wanted to try out 每日 (English name: Everyday). Ever since Ahimsa opened, there have been copy cats. We tried out Ahmisa (the originator located in North Point, Mong Kok and Jordan) and My Meat Run Buddy (in Tai Kok Tsui). All were quite good with Ahmisa being more towards traditional food while My Meat Run Buddy was more creative in their selections. Now, we try Everyday located in Tsim Sha Tsui.We arrived right when it opened at 6 PM and it was
We arrived right when it opened at 6 PM and it was already half full on a weekday evening. It later filled up quickly and a queue started outside. Buffet table is in the middle. Seating surrounds it.
Prices are $138 for dinner and $88 for lunch. There is no 10% service charge and you only get 90 minutes to dine. Unlike other places, this was the only one that did inform you that your 90 minute dining time was up.
The other vegetarian places, you get one set of plates and utensils that are already in front of you. Here, you help yourself to these items at the buffet area. You can go crazy and grab as many different plates as you want but let it be known, like the other places, you also bring your own dirty dishes to the cleaning area before leaving.
Food variety is creative and a lot. Buffet was constantly refilled. Ahimsa seems to focus on filling you up with rice and noodles. Here they do create a good variety of dishes and not as much rice and noodle choices. Food was good though nothing really stood out. It wasn't very salty either. The soup was clearly unseasoned. Everything was labelled in Chinese only.
Loved the juices and tea on offer. That was different and quite good.
This is actually better in terms of variety to Ahimsa though food at Run Meat Buddy tasted better. The location in Tsim Sha Tsui is a lot more convenient for me and I think I'd be back at this location again.
