Overall a very bad dining experience because of the appalling service.The restaurant was almost empty when I arrived, but I still had to wait for a table as the restaurant had a “strict” policy of seating people when all members of a party have arrived. I could understand they want as many businesses as possible so people are not sitting there to wait for others to arrive before ordering, but it’s a bit overdone when the place is half empty. The restaurant was almost empty when I arrived, but I still had to wait for a table as the restaurant had a “strict” policy of seating people when all members of a party have arrived. I could understand they want as many businesses as possible so people are not sitting there to wait for others to arrive before ordering, but it’s a bit overdone when the place is half empty. Anyway, I stuck with their policy and waited for my friend to arrive.
So after my friend has finally made it and we got a table, I found that this “strict” policy does not apply to everyone. The receptionist who was not Asian has just let a Causasian gentlemen to sit at a table while waiting for his party to come.
Apart from the differential treatment, we kept being rushed and interrupted by the waiters who asked us if we wanted to order more food when we still haven’t finished our plates.
To top it off, we were handed the bill before we asked for it and I still haven’t finished my drink. It was so bad I had to laugh at the experience.
So if you want to queue up for this place which is overhyped, be prepared for some “amazing” services that await you, it will definitely expand your horizon of how stressful a night of dining in HK has become.
