For Friday lunch, my lunch partner and I decided to go artistic a little bit. We visited a cafe called Artisan Cafe right opposite to Fringe Club. Although the cafe is located uphill, it is not hard to find as it has an eye catching entrance just opposite to Fringe Club. Their interior renovations and decorations were really quite artistic. There were not many seats, maybe only 10. Most seats were on long benches with low mobile working tables.There were 2 chairs and 2 small stools with a coffee

There were 2 chairs and 2 small stools with a coffee table at a very stylistic corner. We had to try our luck in order to grab the seats there.
Although they had a simple menu, they offered bagels, toasties, croissants, sandwiches, all day breakfasts and sweets with a number of choices for each type. We ordered an Artisan all day breakfast and Avocado, salmon and egg toastie to share.
We also ordered two drinks to wash down our food. There was no service charge.

We could see them make our food one by one after taking our orders. The scrambled egg was smooth with lava egg juice inside. The egg was accompanied by a lot of mushrooms. There was half a fresh of avocado topped by some black pepper. There were 4 slices of bacon which contained both fat and meat and were well seasoned yet still juicy. They were not those typical deep-fried bacon slices so were less evil. The green salad was fresh. The toast was crispy with a thin layer of butter already applied for us. Overall, it was quite a filling all day breakfast.

There was a slice of toast topped by a lot of scrambled egg which was again smooth with some lava egg juice inside. Above the egg, there was a pretty slice of avocado cut into smaller slices topped by some black pepper. There were 4 slices of smoked salmon served on the side, nicely put together like a rose. The smoked salmon was very fresh and not overly salty. It was still pretty juicy and not too dry. Accompanying the toast there was some green salad which was very fresh. It was quite a healthy dish indeed with a lot of omega 3 from both the smoked salmon and avocado!
The drinks were surprisingly good!

It was quite a big glass of chocolate. It was reasonably rich in chocolate yet not overly sweet.

It was quite a good mix of green tea and milk so that it was not overly bitter and it was very smooth with the milk.
Both of us were quite full after finishing everything. The drinks were just like some yummy desserts to call a good end to the meal. Somewhere to consider going for a quiet moment away from the central district.
