Made a reservation a few days before for 7:00 pm, was seated immediately.Always wanted to come/go to Carbone when I was living in New York, so it was kind of nice to find out that it also exists in HK. We got the set for two. This means we got the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, the Salmon (with broccoli), and the Lemon Cheesecake. The bread they serve here is really nice, so I thought that was pretty cool. Still water is pretty steep here, at $68 per person. The food is all pretty good, and I definitely think that the highlightof this dinner was the Lemon Cheesecake, which was way lighter than I expected. Even though the cheesecake has a lot of flavor, it's pretty light overall. I think we made a good decision to come here at around 7:00 pm, since by 8:00 this place was pretty crowded, and got harder to flag a waiter.
I think the per person price for the set was about $500, so the total came out to about $1170~. I think that for the amount of food you get and the quality, when considering the price, this place is just okay. It would be better if there were just a bit more food served, and I think while both the mains were good, (rigatoni and salmon), there wasn't anything unique about them.
Not saying I wouldn't come back though. The restaurant is charming, and not a bad place for a date.
