My friend had been to this Shungde restaurant many times and highly recommended it. The chef apparently used to work at the shungde association. All are individual rooms. For dinner tonite, she requested some off the menu items. Our menu included: 鳳城咸脆奶 脆香酥炸珍珠蠔 順德拆魚羹 順德柚皮扣鵝掌 脆皮妙齡乳鴿 均安頭菜銅盆蒸走地雞上湯魚腐浸菜苗 手磨薑汁撞奶 The first 2 deep fried items might be a bit too heavy as appetizers, but my friend said nobody could make them better. The first 2 deep fried items might be a bit too heavy as appetizers, but my friend said nobody could make them better. Indeed, the batter was crunchy and light. Didn’t feel oily. Also went well with the champagne and white wine we brought.

Everybody really enjoyed the 魚羹 but I was weary of hidden small bones so didn’t eat much.
The 柚皮 was impressive. Normally I don’t Iike to eat it but there was no bitter taste in this one, even tasted a bit sweet.

Service was friendly and attentive. In summary, authentic Shunde restaurant. Recommended esp for those who liked their privacy.
