Finally got to try out the much hyped Da Filippo Trattoria in Harbour City!The queue was super long when we arrived despite the eatery being at the far end of the shopping mall (above Cheesecake Factory). Luckily, we had already made a reservation in advance. Table time limit was 90 minutes, yet we got to stay longer as there weren’t any more walk-ins that night - they are really not kidding about the table only being held for 10 minutes though.Helmed by Michelin-star Chef Andrea, our high hope

Helmed by Michelin-star Chef Andrea, our high hopes for the authentic Italian cuisine here were well exceeded! The only grumble we had was that the noise made it a bit hard to converse…

[Tiramisu]
Even without the birthday plating (kudos to the staff for preparing the surprise!), the signature dessert was nicely decorated with sprinkled cocoa powder logos. Served in a cup, what made this tiramisu stand out was the rich creamy texture that was absolutely amazing!

[Lobster Tagliatelle]
Must order! Prepared in-house daily with fresh eggs and a specific type of wheat flour, each strand had a perfect al dente texture and distinctive lobster flavor. Quite a decent portion of fresh lobster meat too!

[Seafood Pizza]
Another must order is definitely the 10” pizzas, as their unique sourdough base gives the crust a nice chewy texture. We chose the seafood one topped with plenty of prawn, mussels, clam and calamari. There’s even an option to make the pizza into a heart shaped one for special occasions.

[Tuna Avocado Tartare]
This was a little avocado overload. While it was an enjoyable starter, the proportion of tuna could have been increased to make the dish more well-balanced.

[Chicken Wings]
Glad the spicy sauce was served separate from the four pieces of crispy chicken wings or else I wouldn’t have been able to try this new dish. The meat was already super juicy without any sauce - highly recommended!

[Oreo Milkshake]
A summer special beverage, this was super worth our last minute change of mind. Adorned with a mini oreo and whipped cream, the milkshake was thick and flavorful yet still smooth and not too heavy.
