Staff replied over the phone that they only have a shared table left which is fine by me but as I need to check to see if everyone is good with the shared table, I told him I would keep the booking for now and if I need to I will cancel via the app. Staff more than once told me that they are so full that he would like for me to call the moment I cancel, and it seems to me that he didn't like it when I prefer cancelling over the app rather than calling as I was pretty occupied.
15 minutes later, I saw that my Open Rice appointment was cancelled by the restaurant due to "full bookings". Only to learn that a staff has "accidentally" cancelled my booking and another staff told me over the phone that I can made the booking via the app again when she could have just rearrange it for me over the call. This is when I gave up with trying to talk things through.
I do not understand why I need to go through so many staff/ phone calls for one single dinner, however great the food is which I'm sure of given the rating, this is a simple booking experience turned bad which could have been saved by just a nice friendly helpful reply.
