Just had my first dining experience 60 minutes ago and had the identical experience as jmom. There would be a lot less complaining if the food had been amazing, or reasonably priced, but sadly, none of this was true, and I don't recommend spoiling your evening when there are better options elsewhere.The food was OK, not spectacular. We ordered samgyopsal, marinated pork, and pajeon. The banchan was pretty good, pajeon well fried, everything else very mediocre. But the service ruined everything.O

The food was OK, not spectacular. We ordered samgyopsal, marinated pork, and pajeon. The banchan was pretty good, pajeon well fried, everything else very mediocre. But the service ruined everything.

One staff member was rude from the moment we sat down. We tried to order two heinekens (from the menu) and for some reason, this prompted her to roll her eyes. She then replied angrily "NO!", so we ordered two hites while we looked at the menu, but were scoffed at again for not ordering food at the same time. After deciding what to eat, the same woman pointed to the sanchu ($90) and negi salad (also $90) and pushed it but we declined.

By the way, during all our exchanges, she spoke not a single word to us (neither English nor Japanese nor Korean). There was a lot of huffing and dirty looks and pointing and slamming of plates, but no verbal communication or anything that could be remotely considered "service". But there were plenty of smiles and chit chats in fluent Japanese shared with the other customers who probably ordered overpriced lettuce.

Seriously, $90 for sanchu???

We ate in silence, not wanting to upset anybody lest they spit in our food.
Our grill pan was caked in soot and not once did anyone change it for us.
The whole experience was miserable, and we left without hearing a single thank you from anyone.
Besides not ordering overpriced lettuce or negi I have no idea what we did to anger them.

In other words, not recommended.
