I am always here for the Belgian Fries and Long Fries which are consistently good. This time I was back for the Frikandel which I tried before at La cornet Belge (closed down). There is another Dutch place called MOKUM in Central that serves Bitterballen, Frikandellen, Mexicanos and Kasas Soufles.Tried the Frikandel there and it was quite salty so lets see if the frikandel here is good. The modern frikandel is a long, firm, skinless, dark-coloured meat sausage which is usually eaten warm. This time I was back for the Frikandel which I tried before at La cornet Belge (closed down).
There is another Dutch place called MOKUM in Central that serves Bitterballen, Frikandellen, Mexicanos and Kasas Soufles.
Tried the Frikandel there and it was quite salty so lets see if the frikandel here is good.
The modern frikandel is a long, firm, skinless, dark-coloured meat sausage which is usually eaten warm.
It is cooked by deep-frying it.
While I was waiting I decided to order the chicken nuggets as well but the lady recommended the Japanese Kaarage which is fried chicken.
I knew it was on the menu but I haven't really had any good Kaarage in Hong Kong as most Japanese food is not authentic.
Anyway, decided to give it a try.
The frikandel was served exactly the same as the photos, sliced in the middle, topped with onions, mayo and tomato sauce.
Definitely delicious compared to the salty one I had at La Belgie.
The Kaarage also blew my mind as the ones in Hong Kong are always salty and dry hence the reason I was hesitant in trying it.
It turned out very juicy and the coating was light.
After squeezing some lemon onto it, the taste was amazing.
So apart from the chips, these two are also worth recommending.
