Bad service & discriminate non-Korean

We ordered soondobu jigeh and dong tae jigeh which usually should come with rice in most Korean restaurant..but the soup dishes came without rice hence we asked the manager (speaking in English) if they forgot to serve the rice..he told us that we need to pay to order the rice... he insist that the soup dishes does not come with rice..and then he said he can just give us one bowl for free and we ordered an extra bowl of rice..that's quite ridiculous and he made us feel like we were begging for f

We ordered soondobu jigeh and dong tae jigeh which usually should come with rice in most Korean restaurant..but the soup dishes came without rice hence we asked the manager (speaking in English) if they forgot to serve the rice..he told us that we need to pay to order the rice... he insist that the soup dishes does not come with rice..and then he said he can just give us one bowl for free and we ordered an extra bowl of rice..that's quite ridiculous and he made us feel like we were begging for free rice..after we finished our meal, my Korean friend spoke to another Korean manager about our incident..apparently, the soup dishes only comes with FREE RICE for KOREANS!!!!! Korean manager said that the staff didn't know that my friend was Korean...but this is NO EXCUSE!!!! they eventually waive the second bowl of rice for free...this experience left a bad taste for me...I don't think I will ever want to come back to this restaurant who discriminate non-Korean patrons...if anything, they should try to promote their Korean culture to non-Koreans!!
