Had some relaxing chat with my girl friends at Brick Lane for weekend brunch. I tried out its Skillet Pancake with Truffle Chicken but it turned out to be pretty disappointing (that I did not event want to take a photo of it). It was too creamy yet tasteless. It is weird how it smelt truffle but when you eat the flavor was so light that you could not sense. The portion was quite small but given how it tasted I did not want to have more. I was regretful that I did not just order the classical breakfast with eggs, mushroom and ham, which at least looked better (and is usually harder to go wrong).
Its Mocha was nice enough for a brunch place though. According to my past experiences here, I probably have just got the very wrong item from the menu. Can still give it a try if my friends suggest this place - but the call will probably not be from my end, after this crappy Skillet.
