Woke up early today and decided to head to Wan Chai and tried this long-awaited Bakehouse, which closes at 5pm, it doesn’t fit a night owl like me. But my boyfriend and I were glad that we chose to roll out of bed and moved our lazy bum to pay Bakehouse a visit!The queue was acceptable for this Insta-famous/ talk of the town in 11ish. The queue was acceptable for this Insta-famous/ talk of the town in 11ish. We waited for around 20 minutes and there were tourists queuing with their luggage too. Then, you would know the waiting time can get much longer later.
We were sitting at the bar on the second floor, looking at the window and having the top-view of the first floor. This kinda gave the holiday vibe and pseduo London ish cafe.

We started our day with two great coffee. My boyfriend: “ Price of Starbucks but was so much better than the crap I am having every morning”. Agreed.

Then, came our brekkie. Kale salad with grilled chicken and avocado toast with smoked salmon, both served with the sourdough bread.
We liked both dishes a lot especially for the egg porn below!

But sadly, the fig in the kale salad tasted kinda odd and sour. That was the only thing we disliked from yesterday. The chicken was juicy and we liked the pine nuts, cheese and the mix of kale with lettuce and avocado in the dish.
We were tempted to order more after our brekkie but we were too full for that.
So we decided to buy a sourdough home instead.
Will definitely come again if we can wake up earlier.
