Nice concept interior made to look more like a barn than a tavern. Hard surfaces make it a very noisy restaurant. Impossible to chat. Liver pate, pickled veg and crusty bread - Liver pate was watery. Sausage with apples - chunky sausage with a somewhat tough casing. Not remarkable.
Foie gras burgers - Really just sliders. Very small. Not bad but no wow factor here.
Deep fried pig's ears - so tough it was like chewing pebbles. I really feared for my teeth.
Quinoa risotto - a mess.
Large plate fish and chips - this cost over $700 and we should have known that a barn is about beef and fish and chips is an English dish. It really was very far away from the better fish and chips joints on England. And to think they made this one of the two of their star main courses. Almost $200 per head for a party of four. Certainly could not have made us full on this.
We weren't full by this time but were so disappointed we weren't going to try anything else from here. The bill for four, including a beer for each, came to $2,000.
