Hands down, this is the best and most authentic banh mi in Hong Kong. We went to Vietnam last year and along the streets, they have banh mi stalls where they toast the baguette when you order, load it up with pate, coriander, pickles and Vietnamese sausage for USD1 and it is awesome. At Co Thanh, it costs more than USD1 but it seriously is legit and the best banh mi in Hong Kong. At Co Thanh, it costs more than USD1 but it seriously is legit and the best banh mi in Hong Kong. The baguette is crispy on the outside and the bread is nice and fluffy enough to make room for all that filling. The housemade pate, cold cuts, coriander and pickles combined with their mayo is pure perfection. Other places in Hong Kong, sometimes they’re stingy on the meats and fresh herbs and sometimes it is too sweet, but as Goldilocks says, THIS IS JUST RIGHT. Co Thanh gets the meats, herb and bun ratio just right so when you take a bite of the sandwich you get a bite of everything.

I could go on about the Banh Mi but here’s the rest of what I usually order there: Banh Uot (steamed rice noodle sheets cuz it delicious).
