Seriously the best mistletoe lotus seeds and egg in town! Mistletoe is a traditional Chinese herb and this sweet soup is brewed with the herb, lotus seeds, egg and rock sugar.Having tried to cook this sweet soup before, I think it’s really tricky to make it a delightful dessert because mistletoe is quite bitter and astringent. Having tried to cook this sweet soup before, I think it’s really tricky to make it a delightful dessert because mistletoe is quite bitter and astringent. But I’m so surprised to try this soup because it’s so delicious! While it’s sweet and smooth, the sugary flavour doesn’t go overboard as you can still feel the leafy and herbal aroma in the soup. And OMG the egg is heavenly! It soaks up the soup so each little bite of the egg is like munching on a divine pudding!
Besides the mistletoe lotus seeds and egg, I also tried their signature spongy cake. Comparatively, it’s just ok without anything special.
