I always like going to this restaurant for Teppanyaki but the teppanyaki rooms were all reserved that night so we were seated at the private room that holds up to 4 ppl (with no teppanyaki table) that evening. Which is even better because we could chat easily and we didn't have to be soaked in the smell of teppanyaki. Sashimi was very fresh in general
I would recommend the Scallop which was pretty tasty and huge and their Toro & spring onion & sesame Handroll is one of my favourite. I also tried their in-house special which was a crispy spicy mixed sashimi wrapped in seaweed. I like the combination of the soft and crisp texture. The crispy stuff is from the tempura.
Grilled Cod-fish is marinated in miso paste. It goes well with the mayonnaise provided. I've tried Cod-fish from other restaurants but mostly are very oily. I think they controlled it very well.
Abalone was expensive $1500 but worth a try. We asked them to serve two ways - sliced and cubes. I think both are good in its way. You'll have to try it to see which you prefer.
Seafood Tea Pot Clear Soup was very nice but i spilled it every time i pour it onto the small cup. I think they should either separate the ingredients and the soup but the taste was good.
Lastly, you have to try their sesame ice-cream. very rich in flavour but not too sweet.
Although it came down to roughly $1000 per person which was pretty pricey but it was still an enjoyable dinner.
