I need to introduce you my recent favourite tapas bar 🇪🇸 in town! I have bookmarked them for so long since their revamp. Finally got to visit them on a random night for a spontaneous dinner. To start with, a world class 𝐓𝐱𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐬 with creamy sheep cheese inside. Extremely flavourful and yummy. It set the tone for the night🌃

Next was the best 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 in town. The layers of potato were like steps to heaven. It was warm and homey. The aioli, cured sausage and fava beans on top were all great at adding extra flavours. It was the ultimate comfort food. Should steal their recipe and cook at home someday🤩

Some seafood was needed for Spanish night. The 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐬 was our pick. 🐙 had the perfect texture between chewy and tender. This one showed you tapas could be more than bar food. The mojo verde and mojo picon were spot on. Mojo is a common sauce in Spain that is usually made with pepper, oil, garlic, etc. The two sauces were so bold and bright that gave a dynamic experience👍🏼 The extra char added was brilliant! The potato foam was smooth and airy just like a third sauce. Promise me you will never leave the door without this eating.

The highlight of the night was for sure the 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚🔥 The fragrance was the show stopper. Just speechless when it landed to our table. If you were dining there, it was impossible for you not to order this after smelling this😤

Look at the beauty🤩 The pool of carabienaro paste was like a dream that I wanted to dive in. It was the essence of umami. I regretted not to order their famous sourdough now. I guess it would be so damn delicious to dip it. Back to the paella, I think it was hard to find a better one in HK, at least not to my experience. The rice was super chewy for my liking and they absorbed every single drop of the seafood.

Just could not help eating every grain of it and you could scroll for the empty pot. If they could have more socarrat (rice crust), it gonna be flawless. Seriously, this large pot was barely sufficient to feed two people. I need a whole pot just for myself for real🤯

In this uplifted environment, it’a best to pop a Cava 🍾 for a perfect Spanish night! Some great bubbles with citrusy notes. It just went well with any food here, especially the carabineros. Its long finish could complement the wine so well to bring out some extra fruitiness and sweetness.

For dessert, I got the 𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐛𝐞𝐭 🍋They had me for the lavish presentation. Totally didn’t expect it. It was refreshing and the meringue on top was so light! Just a perfect full stop for the night ✨
