I had booked a table for 8:00pm the day before going to the place. I later changed it to 7:00 in the afternoon but arrived there at 6:00 and still managed to easily get a table there. Me and two other of my friends went to the place for my birthday celebration.
Although it was a Saturday evening, there was surprisingly not many people at the bar, so the atmosphere wasn't as lively and upbeat as i expected, it was rather tranquil for my liking.
Once we got there, we were asked to wait for a few minutes before entering. We sat at an outdoor table. we ordered two 'Strawberry Bee's, a 'Forest Cream' , Skinny fries and aioli, Cajun fries and grilled monterey jack cheese with Kansas City BBQ sauce and Sugar's pan pizza. We were served a small bowl of salted and spiced popcorn while waiting for our food to arrive, which i thought was quite pleasant. It took around 8 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Our food arrived soon after a couple of minutes.
The Strawberry Bee was pleasant, it tasted like a strawberry soda drink but was very refreshing. The Forest Cream was creamy(as the name suggests) and smoothie-like texture, however it was a little too sweet for my liking. The skinny fries were perfect, it didn't taste lile your ordinary french fries. it was a little crispy and i loved it's seasoning. the aioli sauce that came with it was sweeter than the average mayonnaise,but went well with the fries. The cajun fries was okay. it tasted like your ordinary melted cheese with fries but the BBQ sauce was too good to be true, my friends thought it was too peppery, but since i like black pepper, i didn't find that a problem. Leaving the best for the last, the Sugar's pan pizza was better than i had expected, it had a lot of toppings that were very flavorful, it did not taste bland or had a bad texture and was very filling for it's size.
I would recommend this place for a night out with your friends or even a date. Tts a great place for relaxation.The scenery is a bonus , since you can view the harbour as well.
