Honestly, I can not think of a better combination than bowling after dinner in a comfortable environment, with delicious and actual quality food. Tikitiki bowling bar and its restaurant is the perfect place to go for a romantic dinner, or even a fun hang out with friends. It is one of the nicest decorated restaurants I've been to and especially with Christmas coming up, the atmosphere is absolutely splendid. They also have a live band performing songs during dinner, which is another unique exper
There was a lot to choose from in the menu. They do have dinner sets, but we decided to go for a la carte dishes. The dishes are very exotic, largely based on seafood and beef. For appetisers, we decided to go for Tuna Tartare. This was probably my favourite dish of the night. The tuna was fresh and fragrant, and it didn't have any "fishy" taste to it. It was infused with mango flavour, which was refreshing. Though the tuna pieces were churned a little bit small, I still felt that it was definitely a dish worth going back for. Our second appetiser was the Grilled Hokkaido Scallops. Although I'm normally not a huge fan of scallops, these ones were nicely grilled, without being too raw, or too burned. The scallops smelled wonderful and worked nicely with the complementary salad. For mains, we ordered the Char Grilled US Prime Striploin 250g, which was definitely another one of my favourite. The beef was cooked to exact perfection and you can see that it's quality meat by the pink in the middle. The pepper cream sauce was what really brought it home because everything on the dish matched so well with it. The second main course was the Grilled Boston Lobster, and may I say, it was huge. The lobster was meaty and if you're a lazy person like me, fear not, because the restaurant helps you remove the meat from the lobster claws first. The lobster meat was juicy and tender, and the grilling really brought out its flavour. Lastly, we ordered a few desserts to end the perfect dinner. We first had the Chocolate Mousse with Balsamic Strawberry Jam. As an avid chocolate lover, this dessert was made to satisfy my craving. The hint of strawberry jam wasn't too strong that it overpowered the chocolate, yet it was just enough to balance out the slight bitterness of the chocolate. The mousse was soft and creamy, but didn't feel too heavy. Also, special mentions to the vanilla ice cream which was probably the best vanilla ice cream I've had in my life. Normally I find vanilla very plain and boring, however, this vanilla ice cream was rich and fragrant. It also had some nuts in it to give it some extra texture. Lastly, we ordered the Coconut Cream. It included a caramel pineapple, which is definitely something I've never tried before. The dessert was quite sweet and nicely contrasted with the chocolate mousse. The lime sorbet was quite sour, which also balanced out the sweetness of the pineapple All in all, the dinner was absolutely delicious and took me by surprise because I never thought that a bowling bar would be able to produce such high quality food. Given the quality of food, it's definitely worth its price and I highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions with friends and family. Not to mention, the service here was absolutely great as all the staff treated guests politely and tended to their preferences perfectly. I'll definitely bookmark this as one of my favourite restaurants in Hong Kong.
