Dinner with Lawyer. Neither of us are sake fans but the food menu seemed interesting. So decided to give it a go.Nice clean deco.Server recommended the 3 Glasses Sake Flight (normally at $208 pp, but they were doing a 50% off for sake flights every Monday). Ordered that- no brainer.Took quite some time deciding on what to order- wanted to try everything. Pigeon slow cooked then chargrilled. Perfect doneness. Meat was tender and melded beautifully with the tangy fruitiness of the Blueberry reduction and orange oil.

Charred Baby Carrot with Miso caramel and hazelnut crumble. To go with our second glass of medium-bodied sake.

Grilled rice ball with sesame. Flatter than usual with spot-on crispness. Loved it.

Grilled threadfin aged for 4 days. Drizzle of lime to balance out the fish oil.

Yellow Chicken aged 3 days then chargrilled. Served with ginger sauce, crispy rice and Mushrooms. Again, crispness of rice was right on point.

In summary: breath of fresh air- exciting, inspiring and creative menu. Chef likes to age the meat and grill with charcoal. Can’t wait to return to try the rest of the menu.
